    DECT Phones

I am after 2 - they need to have a fairly good range, maybe 3? Depends on the price. I want them to be small and slick with ok battery life. I don't care about SMS and things - I need about 5 speed dials on each. Answerphone would be an added bonus

    What can you find me?

    Double pack

We got the MD1000 quad pack for home (didn't need an answering machine, use Telewest's answering service) and they're good little phones. That retails for under £100 at Argos, BTW, which for a quad phone DECT setup doesn't strike me as too bad...YMMV

Also have a look at http://www.comet.co.uk as their online prices are generally cheaper, or pop in their store and have a look. The BT Synergy phones are quite good, depends on your price range really mate.

Money 'doesn't matter' quality does - I use a phone a lot so I will get value from it

Ultimately I would like a bluetooth setup with a headset roaming around the place but that won't happen.

I actually clicked on one of the google ads earlier and found this:

I get a third off all products in BT stores if it's any use. Well I used to anyway, need to check if it's still available. I bought the BT Synergy phones and they work like a charm, 3 handsets in the house, answering machine, phone book, internal transfer etc. I think the latest version is here http://www.shop.bt.com/invt/005890&bklist=page,3,,home

If I can get a third off I'll need to work out how to get them as the BT store near me closed down.

If you're interested let me know and I'll look into it

Actually just found it on the intranet, I may be able to order them over the phone. I get

35% discount for purchases over £60 (incl. VAT)
25% discount for purchases under £60 (incl. VAT
