I know how you feel though, but seriously there are more important things in life than getting your emotions screwed over by a girl. So somehow swallow it, stick around with your other mates and have a good time with them.

Anyhow, my relationship with Mrs Lucio has been put through the ringer a fair few times and it's always come out stronger in the end because we really are meant for each other. Simple fact is, if she's not interested, then she isn't "the one".

I had a "the one" when I was 16, 18, 23 after that I kinda new that there weren't any "the ones".

That is until now. At 36 I really and truely have found "the one". You just know. Before now they were just girls i had long relationships with.

yeah, pretty much everyone has said that i'm just being 'young and foolish' to put it in such a way.. and i probably am, but i would still like to get back with her, i'd like that soooo much, but if things still aren't getting any better in a week or so, then i think i'll just move on, get wrecked with the mates, and get with some girl in a bar.. and that'll hopefully take my mind off it.

Even though you say you are really serious (and don't worry too much about being young & foolish, you'll wish that back when you're old & foolish) - doesn't the fact you're already thinking ahead to what you'll do if you don't make it up, tell you something? D'you think she'd be any too impressed if she thought giving it a week was all you had in mind - she'd probably like to flatter herself you'll pine away for a lot longer, people like to think they're not that easily 'got over.' Even people who've dumped the other party can feel a bit narked if they've found someone else really quickly, we've all got vanity. I think you'd expect to give something a bit more than a week or so if she's worth it. If you aren't prepared for that you're probably not too heartbroken... best of luck whatever, anyway.

Trust is a difficult thing to rebuild, and as Tiggerai says, once it's broken, it never truely comes back.
It maybe that she is the one, but until you've been out with more people, you don't really know what it is you want from life. Over the next few years, your perspectives on things will undoubtedly change, you'll meet new people and build new friendships, and eventually, you will find the one You've got years of hunting for her yet, so enjoy it!!
