    Dodgy Radio DJ's

A DJ on our local radio station, Metro Radio, was talking about the Pengiun flash game the other day. He said the link is in his profile on the website. So i logged onto the website and had a quick game. The DJ, Marc Henry's best score was 580ish.... I managed to score 1200.

He had said on the radio that the person with the best score will win a prize. So i emailed him saying i had got this score and attached a screenshot as proof.

He emailed me back asking how i had done it. So i said if ya hit it at the right angle you can get the pengiun to skid along on its belly scoring higher points. He replied saying i think you are playing a different version of the game. Basically saying im a liar. The screenshot I took shows the web browser i'm using and website im on. rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish.

He mentioned on the radio that a few people had scored 1000 ish.. So this makes my score of 1200 genuine yet he didnt believe me. He was going to announce the winner the next day... So i sat and listened the full show from 1pm till 4. And not once did he mention the pengiun game.

I emailed him today asking who was the winner? He replied "U didnt the prize Sorry" Bloody text 1337 speak! grrrrr.

I emailed him back saying who won then? as you didnt mention it at all on the radio. He has replied saying a bloke from Jarrow... he won some cd's.

Why didnt he mention it on the radio though? It's as if hes making it all up.

I've emailed him 5 minutes ago asking what the winner's top score was. I'm curious as i submited a score of 1200 ish and didn't believe me.

    Here's my screenshot... --- http://www.xtr.nildram.co.uk/pingu_1212.jpg

    Here's the DJ's profile... --- http://www.metroradio.co.uk/nav?action=journal&id=1010

    TIT!

    Edit... he's replied

I can't remember but I'm fairly sure it was just under 3000. I'm sure that people were cheating but it was only a bit of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If U get any decent games on the net I can get the listeners to play send me the URL please.

    Thanks

    Marc Henry
But why wasn't it mentioned on the radio... I dont believe him... its all bullrubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish!

There are like 3 more versions of the same game, each with increasing distances... so I'd guess someone will have taken a screenie of one of the new games (with the larger distance). I'd also guess that they wouldn't include the web browser/webpage in the screenie - to avoid relational...stuff.

Unlucky, chap... just shows that you're better than everybody else for not cheating, and better than the DJ chap for him being stoooopeeeed

Ah I miss Metro Radio! Tony Horne (the guy who did the breakfast show) use to be my neighbour, till he was sacked/voluterily left for swearing too much on the radio and having a bit of a breakdown.

Alan Robson rules too, infact....he looks a bit like you XTR, anything we should know??

That video of yourself looks like a diffrent game. Yup, just had another look at it, and its diffrent.

First of all, the blue distance signs stop at about 300. And the writing on the rock at the beggining is diffrent.
