Calm down mate, this is not the place for it nor does it sit well with me.
You are entitled to your opinion, as am i, and i dont agree with you.

We all get p'd off when we see something that looks unfair and think we can see what is going on, but rarely do we see the whole picture.

What about foreigners who bring skills to the country?
Or foreigners who learn a british way of doing something and improve their own people as a result?
Or foreign nurses who save peoples lives.
    The list goes on

The "you're not welcome in my country, you steal our jobs line" is very BNP.
I'm commenting on an internet forum. Your facts hold no sway over me.

I was in my sisters' pub over the new year getting rather merry. Some skally I was playing pool with turned round to me and said:

"It's people like you who come to my country and steel our jobs..."

Now I may have worked down south for the last 14 years (2 years Stateside), but I didn't think I'd lost my scouse accent had gone that much!

Re: Open letter to the Child Benefits Agency

We had a similar letter claiming we owed them just over £3k in overpaid Child/Working Tax credits. Both my wife and I work in "the law field" so we are vigilant in keeping copies of everything letter we write and taking names of people we talk to on the telephone.

When we presented the department with this bundle of correspondence clearly showing them we'd got not only got in touch when they asked but that we had told them of our change in circumstance not once but three times they sent us a letter saying "Oh sorry, our mistake".

They then wrote to our employer's payroll department asking for copies of all payslips/P60s going back to 2003 (or maybe even further I think). Luckily our employer's payroll department is me and I again provided them with everything they asked for, which again proved that they had made a mistake and not us.

The satisfaction of proving them wrong twice was good but having a letter in which they confirm they had made a mistake was priceless.

    Good luck Nick

    That old classic line eh.

Maybe if this country didn't have so many feckless work shy chav's indoctrinated into the benefit system, who prefer picking up benefit to doing a decent hard days work we would not need "people to come and steal their jobs"

Re: Open letter to the Child Benefits Agency

nope not trying to say that at all im trying to say that they are more happy to take them away from white people then anyone else.

Also i have no problem with people coming to this country infact i support it i just dont belive we should give them everything, but i do think we should maybe only let skilled people in like australia do unlike what we are doing now which is let anyone in.

i think the thing that gets to me is seeing smart people being deported like last week a young american girl is being deported by herself with no family and rest of the family gets to stay here.
Yet there are tons of other illegal immagrants they cant deport....
hell we are even paying internation prisoners that are here 5grand to go back to there country like what?

Thanks for reminding me - I forgot about the elective option in the form that says:

"Q15. Please pick the ethnicity of the person you would like to take benefits from:
    (1) White
    (2) Black
    (3) Asian
    (4) Mixed - please enter percentage _____________"

Those cheeky Asians always picking (1)!!! lol

The benefits system sucks. My mum has been told by the doctor (officially) she is not allowed to work due to ill health reasons. Recently they decided to cut off her benefits...so myself and my sister have been supporting her, it's just mental how they can just stop her benefits because theydon't believe the doctor.

Re: Open letter to the Child Benefits Agency

The Dept for Child Benefit scares me.....really.

They sent us totally the wrong documents, so I rang them and asked for up to date ones, as the docs they posted were 05. They said they would and sent me 05 ones again.

I rang them ad asked them how they'd like me to calculate our income because Sair's off work with the kid. "Use last years figures" tjhey said "But she wont work this year, shall I just use what I know is right for this year....? It'll be close to within £100 "

"No, use last years, then, once we reject your claim, then you can re ring us and re adjust it"

    Madness...but I did.

Then we're told we've been overpaid.

Althuogh we werent paid anything because we both eared too much last year to claim. Which we knew. But we didnt have a kid last year. And this year, you've not paid us, so how did we get overpaid?

"Oh....ignore that letter if it was dated x,y,z, we know about that error"

    !!

Seems like some kind of scam to me and they are hoping that any one who doesnt really understand
will just end up paying it back.
