    A+ certification and training

I'm looking at getting the A+, partly because most of it is common sense, and also it'll probably help me get a job while at uni.

My question is, the parts that I dont know, does anyone know where I can get the training for it? I was hoping to avoid getting the training books from their online store, so does anyone have any possible places where I can 'finish' the training?

    Re: A+ certification and training

I did it some 4 years ago now. It really depends on the person whps doing your course for you. I remember my ex saying she could do it as part of her job, so she enrolled only to find it was a case of sticking your head in a book, and her words were it was like sticking your head in a blender !!

It is much better when you've got someone instriucting etc, I really enjoyed it when I did it, that said I had a good bunch of people in my group which was even better.

Although I've never actually gotten a job with it, I had alot of fun doing the course and it was money well spent.

The only thing I didn't like was how Americanised it all was and how much the software was geared more towards Windows NT (an operating system I'd not had much of a chance to play with) but somehow managed to blag my way through hat part of the exam and come out with top marks
