We had about an inch or so here in Bristol this morning, didn't last long (of course). It snowed for a good while, but was having trouble settling.
Note that I am far too nocturnal to have actually witnessed ny of this, and it instead comes from a reliable source (parents)
it was snowing quite heavily this morning at around 11-ish
but didn't lay at all, maybe a slight white dusting on the top of cars and stuff, no snow-men though
that's North-West England btw..

what is this snow you lot keep mentioning?, i have never heard of it. i vauguely remember some white fluffy stuff falling when i was a little baby, but haven't seen any since. I think its something to do with the weather systems either going up the river ribble or down the mersey. meaning all weather of any sort seems to bypass my house... it is a bit cold though.
Just begun snowing in Rochdale.

I remember that at least in secondary school (seems like a lifetime ago now) - seemed to happen every year too. Now when we (rarely) get it, it's the arse end of winter when it's supposed to be warming up.what happened to the days of getting 1 foot and not being able to go to school

@Salazaar: very pretty - nothing anywhere near that much snow here infortunately - that just looks so crisp. You couldn't even tell it's snowed here now.
Had about 4 inches here (Kent) has been snowing all day and has only just stopped so it is all still here. Couldn't believe it when I woke up to it this morning, especially as we didn't get in till about 3am and there was no sign of snow at that point.anyone get any serious snow?

Didn't believe my eyes (I think I thought I was still drunk) so went back to sleep and checked later, it was still there
Was snowing on the way home half an hour ago, not sticking though (which is good)
