    Healthy Eating and Mental Health

I am looking for people to review my website in terms of accessibility and usability for some results for my degree.

I am particularly interested in use that have accessibility problems such as restricted mobility, impaired vision or mental illness.

    Please complete the survey at:

    EasyRDA: Healthy Eating Online

Much respect to anyone who at least looks, even more so to anyone that completes the survey.

    Cheers,
    TK

The link won't show because there is no "title" on the page... possilby

I will ask my sister to have a look, as she has had MS and a change in diet has seemed to help her recovery also.

The page has a title and all relevant meta data.

The site is a prototype at the moment but I need feedback on what's there.

    EDIT: Fixed the link

    Its just a prototype.

Its not going to contain articles but information on how certain ingredients contain nutrients that have an effect on mental health.

If you click on a meal from the Meal Planner, it will break the meal down into its ingredients. The idea is that when you click an ingredient, it will be broken down into its nutrients along with information on how the nutrients are beneficial (or not).

At the moment it is just a prototype. I have basically an empty database, because its a little out of scope for the project. My main interests are the navigation aspects, accessibility and the principles of the site.

    Cheers,
    TK

When you increase the text size the layout should scale with the text. Use the em unit for positioning rather than px.

And I assume you've run it through the Web Accessibility Initiative validator?

Oh and stick a .htaccess in ur directory (easyrda.elementfx.com/pages/) so the default page is home.php

    # Set homepage
    DirectoryIndex home.php

Thanks a lot. This is the first time I have created a website from scratch and so it was quite a sharp learning curve.

The site is XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2.1 compliant and I am in the process of getting it fully WAI compliant. I will then look into the issue with text resizing.

I will check out the .htaccess issue asap.

    Nice one, TK
