......I don't WANT a Paypal account.

But I WANT TO SELL ON EBAY.....and now I can't.

God the resentment,,,,,the anger...the putrifying, rampaging anger that's building in my chest,.....I may go bang!

I cannot resent anything more than this, right now. .... I am totally snookered....give them access to my bank account, to debit me freely at will....or never use Ebay to sell again.

Forget being one of the first ebayers ever...forget the fact that I always have credit with them for sales listing and commission (I'm happy to pay in advance in a lump...always have done, they've been sat on my tenner for years, slowly wittling down as I sell stuff)

But now I can't use ebay to sell.

I'm incandescent with rage.

i peed me off aswell that jow you can't list an auction without paypal. just use a reduculoius demand like

You must pledge your left testicle as collateral if you use paypal

I wonder what the usage stats show both before and after eBay brought in this measure? I doubt we'd ever really find out though since they're in the same bed

Hopefully if enough people stop using it and ask Google nicely, maybe they'll put a bullet through both eBay and paypal's eyes in one shot and release their own auction site..

I'd welcome that with open arms! Any payment system which has direct access to your banking needs to be regulated - at least giving the same safeguards we receive through our baking system.

You might as well just list your sales on HUKD / Hexus and see if people gonna buy :S
Unless you want to sell stuff outside UK (which would require Paypal to receive anyway for low-value items)

Thats quite a good idea, but the point is that you shouldnt have to do that, just to trade on ebay.

you'd need an account with NO overdraft, cos they can still debit you.

I have considered setting up the Paypal account but listing the items with a 300% surcharge for Paypal payments....

but I dont want the Paypal account in the first place..... snookered, I believe
