    Fresh Biltong near me!

    Edit ; Biltong! Biltong dammit!

Although 'fresh' really defeats the purpose of biltong.....but even so I'd been meaning to buy some biltong online for ages but never got round to it. But then, walking down a side street less than half a mile from my house, I happened across a little South African shop selling the stuff, straight from the hook.

    Mmmmmmmmmm, it's good.

So if anyone's in the London W3 area and needs some chewy meaty goodness ...

I had to think about that one...

    LOL!

There is a little SA place in London bridge that does it too.

Hunters Bilton is great, and is the best price you can get online. I ordered a load of it and some of their Boerwars which were delicious, very enjoyable!

Somewhere near Clark Road isn't it?

I shall be enjoying some biltong when I go back to South Africa next month. I can't stand jerky, but biltong is great.

You can't move for South African shops in this part of London. There is one in Wimbledon, one in Putney, one in Raynes Park and one in Roehampton. All of them stacked to the gills with dried chewy meat. And South Africans. Who will be throwing up on the bus on Friday night.

Excellent stuff that is, although its better when in South Africa.

Hmm my mouth is watering now. Boerewors and Bobotie are also favourites of mine.

For those asking about online - Susmans Best Beef Biltong Co Ltd - hands down the best I've had for a long time.

If you are lucky enough to live in SW London then go to Chakalaka's. Its a SA restaurant in Putney with great food, wine and a really good atmosphere.

    Anywhere North of the River?

Wouldn't mind going one evening. Next Hexus Meet?

Oh man, I wish I was at a Braai now.

Its about 1/4 of a mile on the right side of the river. Putney is easy to get to from around London, trains come in from Waterloo.
