    What to do?

So Valentines day is approaching and i don't know what to do with the girlfriend.

I'll have (adds up...) £65 - £80 to spend, so should be enough for a day out.
I want to take her out for the day to somewhere like Manchester or something on the train, and if i did, not sure what to do once i'm there.
Was thinking of maybe giving her an hour in a massage parlour or something, (~£40), then just exploring the city, etc.

Thats not for definate though, no idea really, any suggestions?

(Hmm, just thought, places like that will probably be fully booked, damn.)

So, anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I really expect massage places, etc to be booked (May treat ehr to than on her birthday instead )

So i'm thinking of just getting two return train tickets to Manchester, having a look around, get one of those tourist guides, see what is where, go visit a place or two, return some time at night.

    Yay or nay?

you can buy her a gift voucher and she could arrange a time to get a massage etc.. done when its more suitable and not as busy.

then spend the rest of the day doing whatever

I'd recommend a meal, and a little chinese supermarket shopping in china town.. Perhaps not as luxurious as a massage, but some of the restaurants there make seriously good chiapau (if that's how you spell it.. - it's a ball of steamed dough with pork and vegetables/with sauce in the centre. You can of course get chicken, and other flavours). You get loads for your money, and you'll most certainly be going away satisfied, with a bag of chinese goodies to cook at home laaaater

I disagree with valentines day, though. Waste of time, to be honest - I love my girlfriend 24 hours a day, I don't need to prove that to her by spending my cigarette money on chocolates

I'm kinda stumped too, although the train ticket somewhere for the day sounds good, although wouldn't go to Manchester! *Starts to rack brains* Have a few eating places in mind though ... If all else fails, a romantic McDonalds ...

I am gonna buy in a load of cool food and cook a nice dinner with the works and a bottle of champagne and a few flowers and see what happens, I like going out to restaurants etc but didn't think of booking early enough and am not into the crowds on occasions/dates.
