London didn't have a mayor before, why does it need one? Just more salaries being payed out the Tax payers pocket.

I don't know Livingston and have never met him but he does come across as a rather joyless and miserable bugger (as do a lot of politicians).

I couldnt vote because I wasnt it London, but I would certainly voted anyone buy Ken - in this case that is Boris.

I am relieved to hear that Ken is done as mayor. Need a change .... Luckily for me I am moving out of London in three months and will get a proper change.

What's funny about this, is that Boris is an obvious *insert offensive word here* - YET London would rather have him, than Ken Livingstone!

I'm actually glad Red Ken has left office - and now I wonder how quickly the Porsche Legal campaign gets dropped after Boris decides the £25 congestion charge is unworkable.

in fairness the 25£ charge is a total waste of time.

If it was about congestion, it would be cheaper for smaller cars that take up less lenth.

If it was environmental then how come hybrid cars are free, yet tiny 1l cars that produce a lot less emissions have to pay.

Well the great thing is that Porsche have found a study funded by TfL which suggests total CO2 output will increase as people make their journeys avoid the £25 charge.

Ken did a lot of things for london though he made mistakes but people do and he improved transport and things and gave us kids free travel

That doesn't happen in a day & as Boris isn't yet in power & able to affect anything it must therefore have happened under Ken ...
Hence why he was voted out?
