    London Mayoral Election

    Anyone voting today?

    I’m torn:
I think Ken understands a city this diverse, but has become corrupted. The only other candidate that will get in is Boris, a change could do London good, but he’s an old Etonian, and judging from the ones I work for that’s not a great thing. Deep down I also think he could be racist, and he’s certainly a snob (see comments on Liverpool).

    Gah!

    Re: London Mayoral Election

As for mayor, i found that an easy choice between a douche and a turd.

The assembly candidates and second choice are the hard ones i think.

I'd like to put a green person in the assembly, but no, their all f**king morons, i mean take Siân Berry, what a complete and utter f**kwhit she is. Words can not contain my discust for her hypocritical ways. Who does she think she is that she has a valid excuse to not use something like public transport? I know a mirariad of people who earn probably well in excess of a hundred times her salary and still use public transport. At least boris for his sins seams to be a bit WYSIWYG. (and i whole heartedly support his views on Portsmouth.)

It's not just Pompey though, its anywhere that isn't Knightsbridge etc - if you speak with a provincial accent he think's you're common/gypsy/retarded and openly despises you...

    I'm struggling here.

you see its funny, but the thing i hold against boris more than anything else is having an affair.

but then again i've never commited to anyone for longer than a few months, so mabye i'm lacking understanding, but if your willing to lie to, and really hurt someone you love (or do so hoping you wont get caught). You're willing to do the same to the electorate.

    Re: London Mayoral Election

yes but i'd sooner have someone who has a chance of been a charming buffoon, not a power made overtly corrupt racist.

South park pretty much hit the nail.

    Re: London Mayoral Election

saying racist things, and implementing policies are two different things. I'm not aware of boris advocating any form of posative discrimination.

So what were Ken's "racist" policies then? Can you name any without sounding like a fully-paid member of the BNP?

    Re: London Mayoral Election

Boris is one of the few Tories I would ever vote for, despite apparently playing the buffoon a lot of the time he's actually an extremely clever chap who's done a great deal of good work for his constituency as an MP.

Shame I'm not a Londoner though
