It's not very difficult for abusers to have their access revoked to the promotion... besides - Hexus isn't the only forum with fairly strict moderators ...

I'm sure no one here will do such a naughty thing however.

Yep, nice way to spam and get three posts that is. You could have easily replied to all of that in one post.

The fact you have an old AVF User ID kind of spells it out even more clearly, that you post for the rewards and the rewards only and not to be part of the community to which you sign up.

And, having done that after being warned by mods, and then ignored our rules on swearing, his post count has now been zeroed by me.

TKPeters, you need to read our rules, and certainly the ones about swearing, with or without asterisks starring some of it out. Next time you do that, you lose the account, because objecting to mod action by breaking another rule is not going to endear you to us.

Actually, yes I do. One of the benefits of having a Windows Mobile based phone which is linked to my mail accounts, which is kinda handy.

As to whether banning you was fair - when you started spamming, it was a tossup between a 24 hour holiday and simply deleting your posts and giving you an infraction. I chose the latter, but on your continued posting in the same vane, which to me, at least, showed a blatant disregard for the rules (as did your first post btw), it tipped the scales the otherway.

To say my decision was then vindicated by you returning, being abusive, and then spamming away anyway - such that Saracen had to step in - means your access to Hexus is again in question. Keep your nose clean, enjoy the community and I dare say it won't become an issue. Take the proverbial as you have done so far? well, you really wouldn't want to do that.

I created an account with Scan last July, which I had linked with my Hexus account. A few months passed and I was unable to log back in, and all attempts to fill in the 'forgotten password' fields didn't work. I then created a new account with the same email add, but now can't link it to my Hexus account as it 'cannot be found'.. Have I made a big mistake by making another account??
I really haven't had much luck with it - it took me a while to actually get signed up in the first place!

You need 20 useful posts that contribute to the forum, and time for your account at Hexus to appear on Scan's system. (The two entities, Scan and Hexus, are independent) When you have reached the post count and you have registered, Scan will review your posts and make a decision. Continuing participation is also dependent on your continuing to contribute to the Hexus forums. The free P&P offer is entrirely within Scan's gift and may be withdrawn from any individual at any time.
