Any quick cures for a mouth ulcer?

I've got an ulcer in my mouth and it's getting to the uncomfortable stage. Doesn't help that I just doused it with salt - that seemed to really piss it off.

Any home-made remedies to get rid of a mouth ulcer quickly?

Although salt can hurt like mad sometimes, I find it works really well. Keep reapplying it and it becomes numb
Gargle salt water on a night (or TCP if you're a man ). Bonjella if you are willing to buy stuff.

I've heard pineapple is suppose to be good (or bad, depending from whose point of view you take! ) for mouth ulcers.

I've also heard it's good at changing the taste of certain "stuff" as well...

I always use bicarbonate of soda, applied directly to the ulcer. Burns like chuff but seems to work!

Salt is good, very good, hurts bad when you apply it though. Bonjela is nice, but I find myself licking it off!

Hot water and salt - My dentist swears by it for anything mouth related from dodgy teeth getting infected to ulcers he nearly always says the same thing. Put the salt in the water and swill it round like mouth wash. Works to

you lot are wusses.

The reason a mouth ulcer won't heal is cos of the white coating over it.... it's some horrible attempt at self defense by the body and it fails.

The way to cure it hurts like hell but works

Use your tooth brush on it...hard! really hard...it'll hurt like crazy for about 5-10 seconds and then....it'll stop. The body's natural pain killers work fast if you scrub HARD.

Then you put fresh salt on a clean finger and press it in. You may pass out now....but keep your fionger there as you topple.

And that's it...it'll heal really fast. You've opened the wound, cleaned it and sterilised it with salt...and it'll be gone within a day or two..

If you LEAVE it...with that horrible white coating on it....the moth's saliva stops it healing.

All of what I've typed is what I do and it works...but it hurts like hell.....really hurts
