you've ever spent awake without having ANY sleep?

for me it is 8 days straight due to believing I was going to die if i went to sleep, spent the time watching tv and browsing the internet. I believe the world record is 11 days but this was set ages ago.

was so exhausted after the 8th day i had to sleep and did so for 10 hours (which was a lot more than the 2/3hr I had most days) my brain didnt even function at all I could hardly speak and when people spoke to me it took me ages to reply cos it was difficult finding the right words.

Me and a freind stayed up for 48 hours straight for a bet in which we won a free chinese takeaway at the end of it. Was fun...

Prom night, flight to Los Angeles and West Yellowstone. Back injury meant I couldn't sleep on the plane. I was almost delerious (had only had about 3 hours sleep in betwen the end of the prom party and getting up for the flight.)

I regularly do about 23 at a stretch though on a friday. (6am friday morning to 6am saturday)

48hrs twice in one week.... had 5 exams in 4 days in one week. absolute killer!

fairly regualy do about 26 hours on friday to sat.

when i was at uni I did about 3 days straight thou, that was a fricken killer, the first 18 hours where spent in the lab making things, i'd roped in as many people as i could too. then the last 1.5 days programming it up + testing.

apparently by the end of it i was blinking and couldn't hold eye contact. I'd drunk copious amounts of red bull, had about 6 people helping with the construction of the robots but i was the only one who really understood the design.

I then had 4 hours sleep before taking a class of 15 year olds using the software i'd just made and the hardware we'd all rushed together, was one of the harder slogs in my life!

It's about 72 hours for me, I had totally forgotted about a uni project until 3 days before the deadline, so worked solid the whole time Still managed a pass though!

72 hours doing some coding homework. The Uni had put the first 6 months of coursework & examples up on the intranet site, along with an automarker. I kinda got hooked along the way and forgot to sleep

Good question, I should have said in my first post but it sounds stupid.

Basically half of my brain was like it was somebody else telling me nearly every second I will die and they're only in sentences / words in my head and they got so quiet that I really did think I was going to die (as my thoughts used to be much louder)

Funny thing is now though, that they're nearly silent when im on my own but they're harder to control and the enviroment controls them even more thesedays (3 years from when I was up for 8 days straight)

Even now, the only part of sentences it says I can change (sometimes) is the last word but I have to be quick because it happens very quickly indeed and its all a jumble.

Dont worry its just cannabis induced phycosis.

3 Days 5 years ago. I lost my job the week before, the girl that I had liked for ages turned me down, me and my best mate fell out and almost had a fight over the same girl, I felt like rubbish. My parents had gone away on holiday. I had nobody to talk to.

I didn't eat or sleep for 3 days. On the fourth day I went out for a walk and came home with a 3 litre bottled of cider and drank the whole thing in an evening. I woke up the next morning and all I could smell and taste was apples lol

Never done it since, and not planning to either, was a very silly thing to do.

I thought after too long (i always thought 3 days... must be longer) you started having hallucinations? I'm sure it was scientifically proved, can't remember the timescale though.

For me, I think it's about 62 hours... 11am weds to 1am today
