Anyone heard of the ICFBA ?

I keep getting emails from the International Confederation For Business Advancement (ICFBA) inviting me to attend a seminar about joing up.

    First reaction was to ignore it, but they keep asking (although to be fair I could opt out), and I can't find anything about them on the net really, other than their own site. *** ******* ** *** **** **** * *** *** ******* ***** ** *** ** ** **** ** *** *** * **** ** *** ***-******** ******** ************* ****.

    Anyone else getting these ?

Re: Anyone heard of the ICFBA ?

I'm getting these too, so I'm going to assume that you are job hunting, and have your CV on a number of sites?.

    What they do is get people to trawl jobsites and pick out CV's where someone has a good deal of business experience and basically "cold call" via e-mail to see if they can get "self-employed" management consultants to service business requirements of a customerbase that subscribe to their magazine........** ****** **** *** ****** ** * ********* *** **** ******* *** ******* * ***** ** *** *** *** *** ******** ********* ******** ** *** **********..

Re: Anyone heard of the ICFBA ?

Same experience as a few others here. Responded to a mail asking a, what i thought anyway, reasonable question, as to if they could provide testimonials from Clients or indeed Consultants. This was ignored and seven days later I get another mail with a link to send questions. Sent the same question and lo and behold they suggest I go to a seminar. Think you can all guess the response - did suggest they use a consultant to get their proposition right - oh but hang on aren't they the specialists in this? Apparently ***.

Re: Anyone heard of the ICFBA ?

My personal reaction to this type of mail is simply to add them to the auto-delete list in my mail filters.

If ANYONE sends me unsolicited commercial emails, they go on that list. I don't care if they're a con or not. Abuse my email address and you get filtered, and as far as I'm concerned, any type of unsolicited garbage to my email address is abuse. The maximum amount of time I'm prepared to give it is as long as it takes to blacklist them (and add them to a database or two ). Shame I can't do the same for the <bleeps> that keep sending me investment seminar mail or property investment mail through my front door and completely ignore requests to stop pestering me, though in truth, I'd rather put out a contract on those <bleeps> than just blacklist them.
