Wow...more XBox 360 issues? I've yet to hear of this one. Things like this make buying myself a PS3 sound better everyday... ^_^ lol I'm not bashing...just an observation...

Amazing.. I've never heard of this particular phenonemom.. maybe I should read the forums a little more.

Nice to see that the XBOX is mucking up more though. Makes my arguments more convincing.

EDIT: That makes me sound really heartless.. I feel sorry for anyone that has to spend more money than they should on something like this. I hope all yours keep on working... I'd much rather that they work rather than my arguments are more convincing...

Which PCB did you change? Thats mighty weird as the DriveKey is on the EEPROM on the PCB!

Does anybody know the best fix for this problem? I see a lot of stuff on the internet but not a straight diagnosis of this problem and how to fix it other than contacting microsuck.

Re: Xbox 360 White Screen Of Death

I bought the Elite 2 years ago now, I use it 2-3 times a week, play a lot of Halo for up to 10 hours at a time, among other things, never a problem yet.

Saying that, seen a shedload of probs with standard white xboxs, its a real shame as its the console (imo) with the best controller, games and online facilities around. I do like the PS3, but i feel its extremely limited in some respects.

Got my Elite 360 in November 2007 as well, when I was at Uni. I flew home for Christmas and pretty much left it behind. Fast forward to September 2008...and it started right up. I think this has finally gotten used to the heat here.

I in fact bought a PS3 just to finished MGS4. After that, it just collected a load of dust. Finally managed to sell it off locally for a fair price (with a few games bundled). It just did not feel as slick as the 360 - in terms of games and the comfy control pad.

@OP: Glad you got it sorted
