    Should I be worried?

Why do we destroy or ruin everything when we don’t need to?

    Possessions

People seem to be hell bent on destroying other people’s personal assets. Cars are scratched, smashed stolen etc, houses are vandalises, broken into, bikes are stolen, vandalised. Even a basic wall is spry panted, knocked down, and drawn on.

    Jobs

Every place of work has trouble makers. People who are out to get every other person, people who will spread lies and deceit and scapegoat every honest person to get them self out of doing even the most basic task. I could go on about this one for a long time!

    General living

People defraud nearly every system in place to help them and in return the system then over inflates its costs and makes it hard for the honest people to actually use their services,

    The Police / law

The police service seem to have no power to stop people making other people’s life a misery. In fact they are intimidated by these no good, lay about, jobless louts who sit around drinking Carlsberg at 10:00am from the 24 hour party then just had in their DHSS home.

    Forums

Forums, provided for free to the online population are spammed by bots and no good / scam posts trying to part people with their money.

Servers / free online servers / home servers

People can not just let any online system be. They have to try to hack it, bombard it with botnets and generally try their up most to make other peoples life a misery

    Free email services

People seem to think that they can use these to spam the world with emails, once again trying to make money for themselves at the demise of other people.

    Online gaming

Every online game has cheaters, farmers, hackers, ragers and other types of players who wish to take the enjoyment out of the game for others and use it for themselves. In may ways steeling the pleasure from the game for themselves or use and destroy the in game economy for money.

    War

I will not say anything about this….I think we all know enough to make our own decisions. All I will say is the the people who put their lives on the line are not given enough backup, money or respect.

What has this world become? It seems as if personal greed has taken over. How can I teach children to be fair when I know that by doing this they will be walked over by these types of people? How do you show a child when they need to be selfish and when they need to think of others?

I worry about the future of this planet I really do

There are probably loads more but my rant is now over.

    Re: Should I be worried?

very well said, i totaly agree with you

for every good person there's 10 bad

    'everyones stealing, why shouldnt i?'

after all... theres no one to stop them.

how can you stop all these problems though? there was an article on people claiming benifits (IIRC) fraudulently and for every person they caught it cost more to catch them then what they got out of it...

i blame it on the zero enforcement on EVERYTHING, dont drink alcohol on transport... every time i come home from work at night, theres always people out of their heads drinking.
always in the media people being let out years early from thier sentence, always hearing of jail overcrowding... that sounds good to people as thats extra time off of thierprison sentence, which in turn makes people commit more crimes

But is it? Has this developed over time or always been in us? Is it our environment or our genetics?

I am not like this... I am honest and will always do the right thing for the right cause. eg My best friend has been treated very badly by our place of work and I have backed him to the point where I could lose my job. They are wrong and are trying to get rid of the people who tell them they are wrong. The people who just say "yes... thats correct" are given new offices, cars etc but they are just yes men and are no good for the firm. Why are these people seen as the good people and the people who try and stand up for what is right seen as bad?

I also come from a pretty rough background so its can't all be environment.

Environment IMHO, ever since the government started pushing intrusions into everday life, people have been kicking back and lashing out at everything around them...

the more CCTV cameras that appear... the more violence on the street... etc

Good point, we see an enemy in everyone due to the fact that we are caged by the governemt? Put to animals in a small cage and eventually they will kill eachother. The government is making our cage smaller and smaller.

    Re: Should I be worried?

What is a farmer in online gaming?

Got a weird picture in my head

As far as war goes these days.. it's not really a war when you're dropping bombs and they are throwing rocks.. It's a touchy subject really, since western culture has matured beyond the need for war to drive us anymore.. so picking on the countries that havn't figured out that stuff yet seems to be the way forward...(especially so we can swipe their oil)

    Re: Should I be worried?

they either use bots or pay Chinese kids practically nothing to "farm" assets and then either sell in game for credit or use ebay etc to sell them for cash to players.

In return it deflates the in game market as these "farmers" are selling more on the market then normal player could possible sell and do it at the lowest price.

Just imagine if millions of people could print £10 notes for nothing. What would happen the the £? It would plummit in value, try and buy goods from eg America and your £1 will be worth nopthing and that good will cost a lot of money.

exactly, the more control the government try to exude on us, the less "welcoming" society becomes....

this country is going downhill fast... in fact... it's not just this country... it's the world...

    Re: Should I be worried?

The country/planet is not going downhill. The thing that has changed is the average person's ability to exploit other people.
Take a look at the history books, and you'll see that humanity has always been like this.

    Re: Should I be worried?

Well your post was all doomy and gloomy.

    Online gaming... WAR!

The two great evils that men do.

You're alive, and living in a rich, western country. You probably own shoes and have access to at least basic toliet facilities.

You could be a worm, or a French, or a dead.

You could have something wrong with your ear.

Be thankful for the good things in life.

    Re: Should I be worried?

People have been taught that they're all special in some way or another, and this is the consequence. What you get when you have strong self-esteem is an unshakeable feeling that the way you do things is right and therefore, people who disagree with you must be wrong.

In the UK it used to be the case that when a government official said "sorry, you can't have X, you don't qualify", you'd believe them and carry on with your life. Now-a-days you could never believe that to tbe the case and would instead have a huge blazing arguement iwith him there and then.

Notions like "customer service" have led people to believe that no matter what they do, it's ok, because it's all part of customer service. So what if you take back an item missing it's box and half it's parts just because you didn't want it. Just lie and say that it's broke and you're sorted.

However, all this is not a reason to worry about the world, because you can change your little part of it. If you have children, don't be afraid to teach them shame and politeness. Make them realise that if they do something wrong they are going to get punished for it, not because it's fair or about justice, but because that's what happens when you do something wrong. Reject the modern ideas that everyone should have everything they want, instead teach them that you should be happy with what you have because it's not *that* bad. So what if you've only got an old monochrome Gameboy to play with? It's better than doing without and you have fun with it!

    (\___/) (\___/) (\___/) (\___/) (\___/) (\___/) (\___/)
    (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=)
    (")_(") (")_(") (")_(") (")_(") (")_(") (")_(") (")_(")

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
