New GMail SPAM/Virus message going around?

Hello all,
Has anyone noticed a new SPAM/Virus/Worm message going around that originates from GMail accounts?

I've been sent a message from 2 seperate people, both with GMail accounts that contained a SPAM message, it went to their entire address book.
Anyone else noticed this.

Me too. Gmail used do a good job, maybe just 2 or 3 spam messages got through to the inbox a week. Now it's like 4-5 a day and i am thinking of trying a new account or different provider. I dont think i am getting much more spam (always had a lot from pretty much day 1) just more is not getting filtered.

Anyone else finding this with gmail of late?

I have been pretty junk free, although my secondary account gets stuff (from old addresses I signed up as a roll over period). Nothing like this though. Maybe they will tighten up soon.

I use Gmail as my main email account and I've had no increase in spam in the last few weeks and not a single one getting through the filter.

Hmm, I guess it must just have been a random one that happened to be from 2 independant people I know.

Yep. Definetly for the last week or so. Very irritating. I wake up every morning with about 8 in my inbox

A lot tend to originate from hotmail addresses.. and they link to Microsoft Space places.. so maybe it's a bug in M$'s system? wouldn't be anything new...
