LV Monogram iPhone Case back in stock...

    Hi folks,

I was just browsing the site yesterday, and was about to order the monogramoflage iPhone case, when *today* it has gone out of stock...but the monogram to my surprise has come *back* into stock on-line!

Just go to the LV site and get to their 'online shop', they should still be in stock...

    (not taken by me)

...now to keep an eye on the 'flage cases and see if they come back in stock...

Ugh, nasty...just plain nasty and if it didn't have the oh-so-special-look-at-me designer moniker on it, you might as well have bought it off eBay from China for a fiver.

You did post this with a healthy dose of sarcasm right? Right?

Re: LV Monogram iPhone Case back in stock...

Or for most folk, get a far higher brownie points/pounds ratio by getting your missus a Radley one from Lakeland Leather on clearance.

Or get her two, which still only costs £25, and you'll have enough change (in comparison to buying a LV one) to buy another ipod to put in the other cover.

I understand that this means you don't get the lovely (?) Vuitton case, but surely most folk get more fun from the ipod that the case they put it in?

Can't really see the point in buying something to protect an item, and paying the same price for the protector as you did for the item itself. Unless it's all about the pose...

Re: LV Monogram iPhone Case back in stock...

    Um...

Well, I just know of some people 'dying' to get the monogram case since it has been out of stock in stores for well over a year.

At least those wanting to get one, rather than having to pay 50-100% more to some person on eBay and ending up with a fake item (if even that!) they could at least have the chance of getting it directly from LV.

Seems that they are being shipped directly from France via FedEx.

Sorry Mike, but I think you'll find the general opinion of most on here with regards to anyone who's 'dying' to get their hands on one of those is that they should really get on with it and do the rest of the world a favour......

Re: LV Monogram iPhone Case back in stock...

Indeed, as stated before; just buy an everyday nice looking cover for a tenth of the price and donate the rest to charity.

Flaunting designer labels and silly prices doesn't buy you respect or the adoration of your peers, merely the open hatred of those vocal enough and the silent mocking smirks of everyone else. And those that do flock around you loudly declaring they'll just die if they don't have one too? Best tell the poor luvvies to go see a doctor because their manparts are rotting away.

I could see why some folk would like one, but to be 'dying' to have an ipod case? Really? I guess I could maybe (just about...) get excited about buying an ipod. But an ipod case?

I can see the benefits of buying premium products in certain lines, such as watches and cars, where you're paying (at least in part) for the engineering. But with an iPod case? How can it be justifiable? You surely must be (as much as I hate this phrase) paying for the brand.

After browsing the LV website are their prices not quite extortionate for something that is probably made in the same sweatshop as everything else? Who would buy a 230 quid keyring?

Re: LV Monogram iPhone Case back in stock...

I don't think we should be so dismissive.... just because people buy something that is way more expensive than something exactly the same in function for a lot less money, doesn't mean it wrong. not everyone buys designer labels to impress other people, some people just like having stuff like that. people who have the money to spend shouldn't be pressured to buy something cheaper just based on what people say, otherwise they'd be the same mindless people who buy expensive things just to impress others.

i say to the OP, go for it if you want ti buy it!

I know what you mean, but it's just individual opinions. I'm dismissive of it, as I think it's daft to buy an accessory that costs more than the product you're buying it for. But that's just my opinion, I don't expect everyone else to go along with it
not everyone buys designer labels to impress other people, some people just like having stuff like that.
Of course, and as I mentioned in another thread (by the same poster) if that's what you do, fair enough. However, many people who buy this kinda stuff are trying to impress others, there's no getting away from that. And I think it's possible that some of the opinions in this thread have been influenced by other posts the OP has made. Or his sig, or blog
i say to the OP, go for it if you want ti buy it!
As do I, but I also say that if you post about it on a forum, expect to get some negative reactions

Indeed, not to turn this thread into a witch hunt but it has to be said that even a brief glance at the OP's blog/gallery makes it perfectly clear that it's all about flaunting expensive things to impress. Making little piles of LV 'trinkets' you own and taking pictures for people to see, every other shot screams 'Look at my ROLEX...look! Look!' even if the shot has nothing to do with it.

Sorry, but no. For the most part, people round here are going to shoot you down for shoving arrogant wealth in their face.
