What to do with all my old stuff?

    Hey guys,

Ive got a few boxes filled with old toys, board games and other such from my childhood days. I was just wondering what I could do with it all?
I was thinking charity shop, but I thought I might be able to get something out of it as they aren't all damaged and still in fairly good condition.

Anyone know of any shops/places that would take it for money possibly? Or would I just be better off not bothering with something like this?

    Thanks

Check completed listings on ebay . . . if some of them are in the original packaging then they could be worth some money...if not, then maybe just the toy itself may be worth something.

Depends if you want to spend time listing them though. You could try alternative sites, such as Gumtree...

Unfortunately, nothing is in its original packaging.
Listing time is a good point...might take a while.

Re: What to do with all my old stuff?

Give it to a charity shop, go on, you know you want to

If you try and sell to a pawn shop or somewhere, unless you've got something special/collectable amongst it, you won't really get anything for it. Old toys without packaging won't really get much second hand. Especially board games, ar anything else that has loads of parts, most places won't be interested without the box, too much hassle. Even if you did get some money for some of it, you'll probably spend more time than it's worth taking them round Cash Converters and the like.

Ebay might be a goer, but again, as ACiD303 points out, it'll take time.

If you give them to a charity shop, they'll probably be really appreciative. You'll be helping whatever charity you choose, and also some unlucky soul that wouldn't be able to afford them otherwise. I just gave a bag of PS1/PS2/PC games into my local shop. They were delighted with them, and even though I'd have got a couple of quid for them, I've had my moneys worth out of them, and I'd rather think that they're maybe going to a good home.

Give 'em to the charity shop! Good karma and all that?

I'm going through a big clearout just now, and I came across some old notes....I didn't realised I did modules in Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics!

But yes, I remember having a ritual burning of GCSE material after all the exams were finished too

Best part of the school year is the ritualistic burning.. I thought everyone knew that!
