    Whoa, whats happening?!

    Main board is smaller with news items on the right.

    Must admit it looks pretty cool

    Re: Whoa, whats happening?!

    Bit weird at the min must admit as it is giving me the illusion that my monitor is smaller.

    However its great for people that just jump straight onto the boards without looking at the front page.

    Nice

    Environmentally friendly then. Less wear and tear on the mouse zipping about the boards and to news items. Means you don't have to replace said mouse as often and it should cut down on RSI

    Re: Whoa, whats happening?!

    Ooh sweet, time to make my browser window wider
    My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

    0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
    scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

    Cool Headlines - HEXUS.community forums now featuring HEXUS.hardlines

    Head on over to the HEXUS.community forums to see a brand new feature, and keep your eyes peeled as we've plenty more on the way.

    As seems to be the norm, we expect the predictable and unimaginative plagiarists elsewhere, to laughably try and rip-off this HEXUS sub-zero initiative too… …so watch out and name and shame these plagiarists when you see them ripping us off!
    Head on over here and read more.

    Re: Whoa, whats happening?!

    I'm liking it! I swear I didn't know it was coming until DR sprung it on us a few minutes ago.

    Appreciate that the forum isn't actually any wider. I haven't changed my window size at all, it just makes better use of the room available.

    Re: Whoa, whats happening?!

    I'm on a 19" standard aspect ratio monitor. The thread title section is mostly empty anyway so this doesn't take up any used space.

    Unless you use a dark-ages resolution or run in quite a small window, in which case it should still be OK.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Re: Whoa, whats happening?!

    The cool thing is, the forums are actually no less wide than sites that use a fixed width of 800 pixels... with the forums still being around 1000pixels when viewed at 1280x1024 which is the native res of most 19" LCD panels.
