SCAN get way too much traffic from here....
like most of the new build threads are pointed towards buying from SCAN or ebuyer... no mention of anyone else normally...
Indeed they do, although, as has been noted recently, there seems to be increasing numbers of people purely out for freebies, and if that carries on I wouldn't be all that surprised if they dropped the offer, which would be a real shame for all us genuine posters :(Quote:

well... not quite... i think it was what they wanted to happen when they opened up the offer (to not having a post limit).. to stir up interest... as the more they sell the more profit they make.. sure they take a small hit on shipping (which is about £5... well... they'll have an account with city link so they will get a discount IIRC...) so all in all having a minimum order value usually all but negates the loss that they would incur... therefore SCAN have nothing to lose keeping the offer open and they can only gain from it.....Quote:

But (directed towards TAKTAK's post here) if the members here get really hacked off, well, the more really miffed may leave. Hexus could get bad rep, which in turn would lead to a lack of new useful members, which in turn would lead to a downsize of Scan's sales. I'm not saying any of this WILL happen, indeed, I find it highly unlikely, yet it is a possibility. One bad turn initiates another...
