Ill keep it simple. Got a wedding to go to.. Need to wear green & gold.
Any idea how I could do this with a shirt/suit/tie/shoes? I quite fancy a nice tight fitting grey suit, but dont know how it goes with green. Also.. should be "emerald green" but light green is fine.
I dont know why im posting this on a pc forum, mainly because im logged in here and would have to log in else where. Please, no suggestions of grey suit, brown shoes, and some green ide cables hanging out of my pockets.

Well, cufflinks are a personal taste thing I guess .... and it helps if you have shirts that will take them.
If you want to colour coordinate, you could always go for green socks too but, in my fashion guru mode () don't let the greens clash.
Cufflinks all the way. Never wear single cuff shirts, apart from casual, and gold goes with green nicely. Like saracen said, a nice gold tie clip or pin, and matching cufflinks, bold green tie, sharp single breasted skinny cut suit & crisp white shirt with an oxford collar. Shiny black italian cut square toe shoes or boots. Sorted.

On a serious note, not too much gold can IMO add to an outfit, especially in details like cufflinks or a lapell (sp?) pin etc

Best bet to add colour is grey suit, white shirt, coloured tie and waistcoat. There's plenty of green/gold combos available out there due to the popularity of "celtic themed" wedding colour combos.

If you're going to do colour then a white shirt is a cop out, but a green shirt will not go best with a grey suit... unless maybe it's dark grey/charcoal maybe.
A green shirt would look awesome depending on your skin tone and hair colour of course, tends not to suit pale kesters so much.
I vote green shirt, green tie and sod the gold. Or of course you could just flout the rules entirely. It's very annoying when people stipulate colours to be worn at weddings - at the end of they day if you're not one of the wedding party what does it matter anyway?
