    Buying a new mobile phone

It will be on contract, need suggestions as they're so many these days it's easy for a simple man like myself to get confused. I am a business man so a good set of organisational features would be nice.

Avoid the new nokia 6600, I have one and its driving me nuts, the magazines are raving about them, but I spoke with Orange this evening and the lady I spoke to has the same problem as I do, as does everyone on he tech desk at orange apparently, so I then spoke to nokia, they'have no idea of the problem' The battery is supposed to last 10 days and this one of the main reasons I chose the phone as there are times I can go a week with out recharge, the 6600 baterries that I and orange staff have last a day, if I am lucky.

Orange have the best tarrif/support ratio, if you don;t need much support the O2 tarrifs offer good value.

If you buy it online you do make serious gains compared to shop purchases......

I am just in the process of buying a p800 (but for cough £75 cough), does anyone know the deal about swapping over who the phone is registered to?

Good luck with swapping the 'registration'. The networks don't like it unless the contract or PAYG the phone was bought with is transferred as well. You can still go direct to the manufacturer's service centres for warranty repairs.
