Terrible. Recently, I read the story of a woman getting pushed towards the rail tracks also for asking two men (I think?) to stop smoking in an Underground station. She managed to avoid getting electrocuted/hit by a train, but it's still a frightening thought.

You see, those who really want the guns will have to work hard and become educated to recieve them. Due to this education it would be my hope that they saw how rediculous using them would be.. and thus balance is restored.

In reality though I think those with amazing grades and are afforded the right to the most dangerous weapons would come up with the best solution for this country..

Oh and of course the education-scale weapon allowance is a brilliant idea!

You know, I presume, that Gordon Brown got straight A's in his 'O' levels aged just 14 and was accepted into Edinburgh University whilst still 15. And Blair went to Oxford to do law. Bush went to Yale (History). Perhaps this should be limited to science degrees?
