PayPal - Your account access is limited

    Hello,

Well, my account has been limited by paypal, this is due to me selling my motorbike on ebay and reaching my receiving limit. In order to lift this limitation, I need to:

    1. Add and confirm a bank account - Done
    2. Enter your four-digit PayPal code - Adding Debit Card - Done
    3. Validate your Account Information - Done
    4. Provide Business Information - Incomplete

The last part is asking me to provide business information such as: Business Type, Company Number, VAT Number etc.. but I don't have my own business or anything, all I want to do it remove the limit!

    What do I do...

Not sure if it helps, but is it definately a personal account registration and not business? That's about the only thing i can think why it would ask for business details???

    This didn't start with an email beginning;

    "Dear Paypal Account Holder,

    Your account has been limited....."

    Did it?

Re: PayPal - Your account access is limited

I went through the same thing recently. I'm assuming that you've opened a "Premier" account. Go on to add some business information, but select "I only send money or pay with PayPal".

I'm not going to provide legal advice, as it would likely be wrong, and I'm sure someone can correct me. However, if you were to select the above and receive payments for personal sales - that would be okay. If you were to run a business or regularly sell items for profit then that might be viewed as taking the Michael.

Re: PayPal - Your account access is limited

I had to do this some time ago. Iirc, there was space to indicate that the business you conduct through Ebay/PayPal is personal. Just a declaration that they need i assume. A silly amount of hoops to jump through imo

Re: PayPal - Your account access is limited

I had this about 2 years ago now... (used to buy and sell guitars, not business, just trying to find "the one") as far as i recall, i just wrote in the firlds that i was not a business, and "none" in most of them.

    never had any grief.
