What do you guys do with the boxes your stuff comes in? I have now had my new Sony 40W4500 TV for just over a week, and I still have the box. Too big to go under the bed, or through the loft hatch (with all the other junk). I keep it by 'just in case' something goes wrong with the set and have to send it back.
So I have this massive box in the room which I don't really know what to do with. Time to chuck it?
I do horde some boxes, still have my PSP box, DS, Geforce 6800GT!!!
Can you not open the other end of the box to make it lie flat?
Flat pack it to be honest. Thing is though your not expected to keep the box for those really becuase they are so big and once you've taken the TV out the box isn't as strong as it once was.
I've never known us at work refuse to take back a TV if faulty because it doesn't have it's original box.
When my 52" was delivered, i had to ask the shop keep take it back for re-cycling. They don't need it for warranty, and if i need to send it for repair we're in a difficult situation anyway....
The real problem is the stand, if ever i want to re-sell it, odds are i need it, so i did the most honorable thing i could do, sent the stand to my parents when i went to visit for christmas
Not sure how true it is, but i was told to hang on to my 32" box, because thats the max size Samsung use for corriour pick up, anything else they would just send an engineer.

i chuck all the packaging for all the stuff I get. I don't have room for all of my actual stuff, yet alone the packaging.
Always keep mine, i just flat pack it down and bung in the back of the garage or the loft.
I kept them for a while, but I have a clear-out every year or so

Most modern electronic gizmos are pretty reliable these days, if they don't go wrong in the first few weeks they'll likely last for years. I generally keep boxes for a month, then recycle them.
Give it to a small relative @ Xmas.
