As I have been out of a paying job for a while, (car crash, smacked head a bit, lost confidence in everything) I thought it best to ask if anyone has any sensible ideas for where I could get a temporary Christmas job, just so I can get my foot back in the door of the whole working thing people have to do to get money (only have £19 left)
so has anyone got ideas of the kind of places that do temp christmas jobs and what they entail?
my only restrictions are:
- very little, if any use of the telephone, preferably none.
- not much contact with general public - don't like explaining things to them, i lose track of whats going on very easily, also very shy.
- not to far from southport - not confident enough to use public transport, do have full driving license though cant afford car.
my two previous jobs:
3 months at Office National Statistics: data input on NHS Central Register - summer 2001
3 weeks Tesco - stock replenishment assistant - christmas 1999. (hated it, got shouted at a few times)
currently at Southport Shopmobility: in the workshop repairing, re-wiring, general trying to make it look like i'm doing something'ness. also hiring out the mobility scooters to people who require them.
also did some work with animals whilst on a princess trust course. the lions at knowsley safari park are friendly, mainly in the Lake Farm section.
so.. can any one help?
