    D-Day Museum and Overlord Embroidery

    Anyone been?

Spent a few hours going round it/having a look today. Wow! so much information packed in, and quite a large collection/display of items.

Here are just a few of the shots I took, alot of them didnt come out too well (it was quite narrow in alot of the corridors)

What you want is a Tokina 11-16 f2.8, go on, you know you want one.

It was a really really good place, if ever anyone is in the Portsmouth area you really should go.

Re: D-Day Museum and Overlord Embroidery

I was suppose to go on a 4-day D-Day trip around North France with my last Squadron, but got posted out before I could go. We were going to go around all the beaches, Pegasus Bridge, that cliff face the Rangers went up (the name completely slips my mind in my current drunken state; something point I think) and various other places. We also had to do research of various things and give presentations at the relevant places (like Hobb's funnies, various leaders and so on).
