I was digging through an old hard drive....

I was digging through an old hard drive from my previous computer when I stumbled across my homework for 2005/2006.

Me being me, and as I didn't really have anything better to do for a few hours of my time, I decided to read through the first few.

And it hit me what a gem mine I'd found of total and utter rubbish. So I thought I'd share it with all you hexites!

It's a mixup of essays, writings and complete and utter c*** that I found lying around.

More will go up as I read/comment on them.

Here's a brief extract for those that just can't be bothered to click the link and find out...

It's from something I wrote at age 14 (last year)...

".....I was later told I sounded like a lemming (by a good friend of mine who saw me fall from the sky halfway down the local skyscraper) as I fell. However, I beg to differ. Lemmings do it in some insane courting ritual… whoever survives gets the females. I am convinced that the more intelligent lemmings planned this so that the females accept them, despite their somewhat… nerdy… stature......"

If you like it click the link!

If you like the way that it makes total and utter nonsensical sense then you could also look at my blog...

    Blog Here

With the best of luck... and the hopes that it won't just be totally ignored.

Be aware that most of it isn't that interesting thought. Most of them are essays/notes on stuff..

I still have some of my uni notes and a few other bits and pieces. What utter rubbish some are. Mind you some of my posts are probably up to the same standard!

Re: I was digging through an old hard drive....

I was going through some old CD's that I'd tossed into a draw and had forgotten about them till the other day, man what a load of poop I had on them. Can't believe I was such a tool back then.

It's always interesting to look back and see what you were like years ago and compare to what your like now. I have to admit, a real eye opener for me lol

Re: I was digging through an old hard drive....

    they where awsome.

OS entirely in ROM (at first, then ROM + disk based)

    booted in about 3 seconds.

    Press F12
    type: BASIC
10 PRINT "THIS IS A PROGRAMMERS OS"
    20 GOTO 10
    RUN

things like that where just awsome, then lets not forget that it had ANTI-ALIASING!

Yes windows got ClearType in 2000 iirc?

Acorn where doing in in '92 with as few as 16 colours.

(and don't ask how long it took linux.....)

Acorns where my first, and only true love, the kind of pure love that a boy can have for a computer that can be re-set to factory defaults, with just a keypress combination.
