I find it strange no one suggested turning system restore off for one.

Then doing the virus scan, delete, safe mode, find and delete stuff.

Its what I do anyway, stops the virus restoring itself as far as I know, it works for me.

back in the day of DOS and installing games from install.bat I used to rename the install.bat file 1.bat then make my own install.bat that loaded up annoying music from a .BAC file and then end with a witty comment.

Lol classic! I used to wind up colleagues with 5 second VB apps dropped into their startup folders. Up pops a critical stop with the text "Format all disks?" with 2 YES buttons. etc etc etc.....

My uber coding skills are still obviously in high demand!
