(Yes I am utterly bored at work)
Only crashed once, wow!
IM so bored i noticed his mistake, cpu bar to see "how much performance the cpu is using" You cant use that, its "how much load is on the cpu" you dont get more preformance from putting load.
Looks like vista, if it is better with games ill get it cos crysis ran so bad on vista >.<.
Oooo...people more interested in the actual windows 7 article...I was more interested in the SCAN 3XS system :D
So far, nothing in Windows 7 strikes me as a need. I'll upgrade OS as and when I need to.
It is it's the Core i7 X58 system :D
That be me, didn't see the need, nor want to switch, so didn't/ haven't.
How do you work this out?Quote:
Vista has already killed XP.
I know loads of people that have tried Vista and gone back to XP, there are also plenty of companies out there still running XP due to the costs that would be incured to upgrade current PC's to run Vista.
That could be the case, good point. However, am sure I have read somewhere that the OS has been redesigned to make it run a hell of a lot faster then XP and if I remember what I read correctly, close to the speed's XP offered, don't quote me on this though, can't remember for the life of me where I read it.Quote:
The could be the top end machine they are using to make it look fast... trying it on a £400 laptop..
One tweak I do know of in Windows 7 however, which I think I read here on HeXuS, the task bar, where as the old start bar had "physical" dividers between the clock and the quick launch, these are no longer there, so the bar looks as one, but the areas are seperated, but by little images.

Couldn't all the kings horses and all the kings men put it together again?Quote:
mine died
it split into twins, and then quadruplets and none of them were bootable and it wouldn't recover
Same, if I need to upgrade I will, I don't have to, I won't. But I tried Vista, didn't like it, so will try Windows 7 is suspect.Quote:

I tried vista 64bit, liked it but it was alot more demanding in terms of ram(3x more, 1.5gb instead of 512mb) and since crysis warhead was barely playable on vista i went back to xp and guess what, the fps doubled.
Vista is by no means a bad OS just not that great for gamers until games use DX10 effectively, will give windows 7 a try.
and I know loads more people that wouldn't go back to XP if you paid them.....but that's still no justification for whether a product has replaced another.....
Now, go buy a PC with Windows. What does it come with?
XP has been killed and replaced with Vista and it's not our choice, it was Microsofts, they killed it.
