A PS3 will generate about 900 points per day, which is probably more than a single core CPU will get you but much less than a half decent graphics card can achieve.
See this page for approx points per day for a number of different graphics cards, http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/P...n_R700/21.html nVidia really have the lead here over ATI. Note the X2 cards show what each GPU can achieve not a total for the card.
I shall start folding as soon as I get my new PC built after christmas (i7 hopefully if the prices come down ) anyone had a go at folding on an i7 cpu yet?

How many units a day does the top team do?
Hard OCP are the top team and they make ~3.5M points per day in contrast Hexus generate ~60K point per day.
**wonders if the GPU client works with the TESLA gpus**
Does anyone run the mas os x client? A few times now it has worded fine for a week then all of a sudden you get the can't connect to assignment server. I have to uninstall it and then reinstall the client to get it to work again which in another week it stops again. Sick of reinstalling it, anyone got any idea's?
Can post the logs if need be.
Wow, hardware forum too right?
I killed the client on my laptop.
Something went wrong and while it was happily running one core, an erant thread or process that hogging the other core. Windows didn't even know that process was there.
Sorry, the F@H clients are just too damned unreliable.
I've given up on the SMP clients, I can never seem to get them to work properely. Anyhow I've installed the gpu client on my main pc (3870x2). Is their anyway to get the software to take advantage of both gpu cores?
I think you need two instances of the client if i remember right. Two copies of the client folder with the machine ID changed for each one.
