Jail bate apparently.
I think the reason they might have laws that stop kids posting pictures of themselves masterbating with low end electrical goods, is because they might be to nieve to properly hide their identity.
I still think its even more worrying or frankly sad that they've got people who are set out to stalk some young girl.

Does the quality of act somehow diminish with the use of 'Low End Electrical Goods'?
It's not showing up on google yet, but do the same search at *.com for her "article".

actually, I'm in favour of free speech because i think we should be grown up enough to moderate ourselfs, but how come those two sites,
i'll just call them, the wiki and the forum.
How can they still be around, yes they can be a great laugh, but also half the stuff they seam to have is of VERY duebias legal nature.

but they never take the stuff down?
or is it as simple as once they responded to the take down notice, another 'user' uploads it again?

Facebook is reasonably secure so long as you don't install lots of extra apps, you don't have your profile public or searchable (mine is as stealthed as i can make it, and i don't put my contact details in my profile page). I figure that the people on my friends list should know me personally, and they have no reason to ask for my address or email. Unless they already know it, why do they need it?
Lots of people moan at me because they can't find me on facebook and so can't add me or look through my photos, but who cares.. it's my life, if they leave their profiles open to stalking then so be it, i'm not so easy
An owner of an Australian restaurant was left in the possession of a hefty bill after five young diners fled the restaurant after their meals. Owner Peter Leary from the restaurant 'Seagrass' which lies on Melbourne's southbank reports that the diners ordered oysters, trout and expensive wines and then proceeded to leave for a cigarette, and never returned.
The bill totaled $340 USD but Leary recalled one of the diners asking about a former waitress. Leary contacted this waitress who suggested that he look through some of her contacts on Facebook.
Upon searching a few names, Leary recognized one of the diners and it was revealed that the young diner worked at a nearby restaurant. Leary contacted the nearby restaurant and shortly after the young diner returned, apologized and paid the bill, leaving a generous tip for the trouble caused.
Shortly after the young diner was then fired from his job at the nearby restaurant.
Facebook, social networking and seemingly a bit of social justice as well.

Terminator 1 anyone? Name, phonebook, .45
More seriously It's not the info you put on one site, but all of it across many sites(forever and ever).
One of my favourite tricks in Eve (a game full of very paranoid people ) and other chats; is to start reading peoples myspace/facebook/blog pages back to them, when they get annoying. All public, no naughtiness; people just don't realise how much they put on these sites.
Usually the first hit in google as most people like to get a reasonably unique name and stick to it. Doesn't always work. Start off with a generic question like do you live in xtown/city/swamp? If you get anything other than a direct no, you've usually hit paydirt.
Obscure stuff works best, I remember a guy getting really weirded out when I knew the colour of his front door and the names of all the pets he ever owned. Handing out someone's address for example is out of order and will get you banned from just about any site/chat/game pronto, but stuff personal to them while not revealing any private info, is a pretty harmless way to freak someone out.
And that folks is my revenge on social networking.
What I did find shocking is the amount of times people have enough info on full display to track them down to a house/school/college is amazing, I'm not that vindictive, it's just pranking someone who's annoying me online nothing more, but there are some sick people about.
Jinkies chuckskull, i was told by a college he was going to pay some hooker to please me because having not had sex for 5 weeks i've become very stressed, and harder to work for..... WTFs ur problem?
When i were a lad on t'internet we used to wait for people to deserve to have a little scaring before we just launched into them.
There are many big targets such as; scientology, gary glitter fan sites and FairTrade. Why go after little people who've done nothing.... Tut tut.

I think I've done pretty well in hiding information about me on the internet, would be interesting to see how much someone could gather though. Just having a google with my full name and the county where I live/town I go to uni at, I haven't been able to find any information relating to me on the first few pages.
I'm probably confident enough to give my name, and a couple other bits of information, and still you'd be able to find pretty much no extra information on me.
Post a link to someones myspace/facebook on /b/ and garauntee within 5 minutes you will have your own personal army outside their door.
Internet hackers on steroids right enough.
