    Bank Accounts with no Adress.

I'm just wondering on something. And I don't fancy going into my bank and asking them this.

I know from other POSTS that some of you work in banks.
If you only had a debit card, You have no debt at all, what would the banks do if you annouced to them you have no POSTAL address and don't plan on having one for a while? (As in longer than 6 months)
I would have thought that if they take away your ability to go overdrawn you would be safe?
I can see a security issue if they are sending your letters and stuff to an address you no longer live at.

Just wondering if traveling is possible without an address bank wise. They give you the option to stop sending you statements if you have internet banking. And I'm asking this if you didn't want the letters being sent to family's or friends address.

    Anyone here know?

I would say it would be within the terms of your agreement with the bank to have a postal address. If you declare you don't have one, they would probably shut the account completely.

A few years ago I had nowhere to live for a couple of months. I told them and they gave me I think it was a month to find one. But I had debts then and not enough money to pay them of. But I didn't have internet banking.

Just change your address to a parents and then turn off paper billing, i never get letters from my bank at all so i cant see why you would? Then when you have a house again then change the address?

    I'd go with that option.

I'm pretty sure that if you do get any post though you can trust your parents not to open it. Cant you?

You can get sensitive things like new cards and PINs sent to your bank branch these days. Happened to me (when i didn't want it) on a few occasions.
