    Re: 50 Interesting Facts

    Except it's not true. It's a googol, and it's a 1 followed by 100 zeros.

The Titanic transmitted 'CQD' and 'SOS' but 'The first ship to transmit an SOS distress call appears to have been the Cunard liner Slavonia on June 10, 1909, according to "Notable Achievements of Wireless" in the September, 1910 Modern Electrics.'

I'm sure some other of those facts are suspect. 9 and 42 contradict each other.

Interestingly, 10 to the power of one googol is a "googolplex", and you couldn't write it down because you'd need more space than is available in the known universe.

    Re: 50 Interesting Facts

number 10 is in serious doubt

number 28 is just really stupid

The ‘v’ in the name of a court case does not stand for ‘versus’, but for ‘and’ (in civil proceedings) or ‘against’ (in criminal proceedings).
this sounds a lot like "Americans would get confused by Latin, so we changed it to against i wonder what versus could possibly mean

I can understand better peripheral vision than human, but anything beyond 180 degrees is pretty mad.
