I live a few miles from antrim, i think people here are shocked, and very angry,
It's awful, tragic, and disgusting, and people here can't let this get in the way of the progress that has been made over the past number of years...

Im from NI myself and i think this is a warning towards the special forces being brought back in. I'm not condoning it but to be honest i wasn't suprised when i heard about it.
Definetly not what we want to go back to. But the worst thing that could happen now is for the soldiers to be sent back to NI. Luckily the chief of police has ruled that out.

Bit of a Catch 22 though isn't it? The SRR monitoring was called for because they suspected an attack (or attacks) were imminent. No-one - which ever side of the various divides you sit on - wants soldiers back on the streets again.
Very sad news indeed, let's hope this isn't the start of something larger.
I am suprised it was actually reported to be hoonest.

Well im not. This could potentially be quite significant for the country. All it will take is an act of retaliation and we are back where we started.

Normally NI stuff is not reported as it does more harm than good.

Yea thats very true i guess. I think this one is significant though because its the first of its kind in quite a while which is why alot of people are shocked.

Just down the road in B'mena myself. I suppose it was all too easy to think that we were actually done. Obviously the attitudes and politics still linger but it seemed there was an optimistic peace. Let's just hope these f**kers are caught.
People should be praying for the families of those two guys.
just heard on the NI news that the Real IRA have claimed responsibility
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/n...nd/7930995.stm
I have to say that i'm all for the special forces coming back to NI (atleast publicly) to support MI5 in gathering intelligence.
I think the biggest problem we have is the fact that we have terrorists running the country.
I feel sick after hearing the news this evening. A PSNI Officer has been shot dead in Craigavon, NI, this evening
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/n...nd/7933990.stm
The situation is dire
Wise old man won't you help me please? My house is a squash and a squeeze.
this time its the Continuity IRA that have claimed responsibility...
Murderous idiots the lot of them.![]()
