    film posters

Does anybody know of a website where u can buy film poster from? Ive googled a few but cant be sure if i think they are dodgy or not. Ive got a room that looks a bit of a mess at home and was thinking whacking some posters up till i can do a proper job on- it would hide the true state of the walls for a bit

    cheers

    Permanently confused

Ive found that most places that have them wont give them to you. HMV/MVC *before it went*/Blockbuster etc, never used to let you have any old promo materials.

    Re: film posters

Depends, a lot of places probably keep them for staff - like at game we just kept the promo posters for ourselves

My friend still has one of the big Master Chief cutouts!

    Hello,
I got an x-men2 poster from safeway years ago.
sometimes you get lucky but no harm in asking.
If they are just gonna throw out the posters may as well give them away.

    Re: film posters

When I worked at the Odeon (long time ago, though) we let anyone, that would ask, have the promo items that we had. But they had to be specific - it wasn't like you could walk in and ask what was left out back, you had to ask "do you happen to have that 10ft Matrix poster used out front a week ago?" . . . if after a couple of weeks no one wanted them, then it was a first come first serve for staff.

So, of course, the staff always got a friend (one not likely to come to a work do) to come in for something they wanted!

But I'd try a rental shop - I dunno about big ones like Blockbuster, but I've got loads from rental stores, just by asking. I once even walked out the shop with 3 fully functioning TFT monitors once (no, I didn't nick 'em!)
