Richard Ashcroft - Drugs Don't Work
Richard Ashcroft - Buy It In Bottles
Richard Ashcroft - Song For The Lovers (heard this live and acoustic. Awesome)
Radiohead - Creep (the acoustic version is unbelievably moving)
Oasis - Live Forever.
The Verve - History.
Guns N Roses - Civil War
Meatloaf - Wasted Youth"What we've got here is failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach...
So, you get what we had here last week,
which is the way he wants it!
Well, he gets it!
N' I don't like it any more than you men." *
Look at your young men fighting
Look at your women crying
Look at your young men dying
The way they've always done before
Look at the hate we're breeding
Look at the fear we're feeding
Look at the lives we're leading
The way we've always done before
My hands are tied
The billions shift from side to side
And the wars go on with brainwashed pride
For the love of God and our human rights
And all these things are swept aside
By bloody hands time can't deny
And are washed away by your genocide
And history hides the lies of our civil wars
D'you wear a black armband
When they shot the man
Who said "Peace could last forever"
And in my first memories
They shot Kennedy
I went numb when I learned to see
So I never fell for Vietnam
We got the wall of D.C. to remind us all
That you can't trust freedom
When it's not in your hands
When everybody's fightin'
For their promised land
And
I don't need your civil war
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store
Ain't that fresh
I don't need your civil war
Look at the shoes your filling
Look at the blood we're spilling
Look at the world we're killing
The way we've always done before
Look in the doubt we've wallowed
Look at the leaders we've followed
Look at the lies we've swallowed
And I don't want to hear no more
My hands are tied
For all I've seen has changed my mind
But still the wars go on as the years go by
With no love of God or human rights
'Cause all these dreams are swept aside
By bloody hands of the hypnotized
Who carry the cross of homicide
And history bears the scars of our civil wars
"We practice selective annihilation of mayors
And government officials
For example to create a vacuum
Then we fill that vacuum
As popular war advances
Peace is closer" **
I don't need your civil war
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store
Ain't that fresh
And I don't need your civil war
I don't need your civil war
I don't need your civil war
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store
Ain't that fresh
I don't need your civil war
I don't need one more war
I don't need one more war
Whaz so civil 'bout war anyway
Short, Sharp and to the point!Wasted youth! Wasted youth!
[spoken]:
I remember everything!
I remember every little thing as if it happened only yesterday
I was barely seventeen, and I once killed a boy with a Fender guitar
I don't remember if it was a telecaster or a stradacaster
But I do remember that it had a heart of chrome and a voice like a horny angel
I don't remember if it was a telecaster or a stratacaster
But I do remember that it wasn't at all easy
It required the perfect combination of the right power chords
And the precise angle from which to strike
The guitar bled for about a week afterward
And the blood was sough dark and rich, like wild berries
The blood of the guitar was Chuck Berry red
The guitar bled for about a week afterward, but it rung out beautifully
And I was able to play notes that I had never even heard before
So I took my guitar, and I smashed it against the wall
I smashed it against the floor
I smashed it against the body of a varsity cheerleader
Smashed it against the hood of a car
Smashed it against a 1981 Harley Davidson
The Harley howled in pain, the guitar howled in heat
And I ran up the stairs to my parents' bedroom
Mummy and daddy were sleeping in the moonlight
Slowly I opened the door, creeping in the shadows
Right upto the foot of their bed
I raised the guitar high above my head
And just as I was about to bring the guitar crashing down
upon the centre of the bed, my father woke up, screaming " Stop!"
"Wait a minute! Stop it boy! What do ya think you're doin'?
That's no way to treat an expensive musical instrument!"
And I said: "God damn it daddy!
You know I love you, but you got a hell of a lot to learn about rock 'n roll"

The end theme to Man on Fire, gets me going it's awesome. And 'Into The West', From LOTOR.
Orbital - Belfast, reminds me of the 2 times I went to Glastonbury (1994 and 1995) ... can't remember if they play it though...
Ive took a good long think now and a couple of tunes that get me everytime is:
Enya - Now we are free (Gladiator Theme) - Dont know why, as I dont understand the lyrics but its just a beautifully composed piece of music with a haunting vocal tone which always hits the sweetspot. (sounds like im describing a wine - so ill be quiet now)
Tiesto Feat Matt Hales (from aqualung) - UR
Matt Hales voice is amazing and apparently the lyrics were inspired by the birth of his son, but I dont see how, seems to me like he didnt want his son?
Wish I was a better man
Wish I had a better plan for dealing with this
What am I
What am I to do now?
Maybe I should run away
Maybe I could run away and never be found
What am I
What am I to do?
The way that I'm feeling
The dreams when I'm dreaming
Can this really be happening
Can it really be true?
You are
My love and my life
My heart and my soul
Just trying to keep the world
From smashing crashing in
I had this dream the other night
I had this crazy dream the other night
How have I
How have I arrived here?
My heart is unladed (!?)
and my head is exhausted
Is this powerful magic
Can it really be true?
You are
My blood is in your blood
My breathe in your mouth
Just trying to keep the world
From smashing crashing in
What about us?
What about all the plans that we made?
What about all those careful plans
Just careful plans we made
An else is clear (!?)
Full of Fear
Full of Hope
Full of You
My love and my life
My heart and my soul
Just trying to keep the world
From smashing crashing in
My blood is in your blood
Just trying to keep the world
From smashing crashing in

The Fray - How To Save A Life
Cary Brothers - Ride
Howie Day - Collide (also love it cause its one of the easiest songs to play on the acoustic and sounds so good )
oh and not to forget
Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Somewhere Over The Rainbow
Quite a lot of the songs used in Scrubs make me go *huahh* (thats an inhale btw )
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Christie---'Yellow river'
Everything But The Girl - Missing (Todd Terry Club Mix) is one that brings back some memories for me, however reading the lyrics now it seems a bit of a stalker song like The police - Every breath you take.
