DownerLONDON - White Lightning, the controversial strong white cider brand, is relaunching with a lower alcohol content to encourage responsible drinking. ????
The brand, which is owned by Scottish & Newcastle (S&N), is among a group of brands in the white-cider category often associated with problem drinking among groups such as homeless people and under-age drinkers.
Its present strength of 7.5% ABV will be cut to 5.5% from May. A change in its can design will reflect the reduction.
