In off the post

It's a new game at the place where I work and I need a little help :)

It's based on the football season. Each week I have to choose a team to win. You get 4 points for an away win, 3 points for a home win and 1 point for a draw or postponement. We each pay a fiver in and the top 3 players get the prize money.

Heres the trouble, I know nothing about the noble game of football :D So each week I would like some help choosing a team thats gonna win.

Can't choose from the Scottish premier league and no more than the same team 3 times in the season.

So suggestions please for this weeks team :)

To get an idea of who is playing who this weekend, use this page. Scroll down a bit to the English games. This way you could...
a) Select a team by random,
b) Get one of us to select a team by random,
c) Listen to my prediction (Everton beating Arsenal :p), or
d) Ignore my prediction and wait for somebody else to help.

Note, my prediction is slightly better than my skills at celebdaq;)

What I have been looking for is a betting site than gives you tips on teams and such like, no luck yet though :(

After having a thorough(sp?) read through that, it would seem that Southampton would be a strong contender for an away win which is good news.

or is it just the scottish premier league u arent allowed to choose from? u can choose from other scottish leagues?

Well as long as Ross County win as well :p

This is running till the end the season though, so I will get plenty more chances to choose villa :)

just put the teams who everyone else has put, or just put the top 3 teams in the league hahaha

Hmmmm.... you don't watch much footie do u :)

Depends when you want to take risks on the away games. Example last season Liverpool were great away from home once they got over that "blip" but at home we were shocking.

Gotta start watching the Premiership ! Let's start a footie revolution on these forums :)

it makes me laugh when football fans call there team "we" no offence but it does

Don't know what anyone else has choose until the saturday so that idea is a no go.

it's a game.... you ARENT the team, you just watch them, you may WISH you were one of the players but thats where ur imagination kicks in and takes over :p

stoke city, on good form won derby 3 nill won man utd 3-1 (they had a good lineup aswell) and won this weekend, fans goin mad morell very high but wont last forever
