QFT; it's a common complaint amongst people dealing with accounting tasks etc here that there isn't a convenient number pad - so much so that I've had bto buy in external USB numberpads to keep them happy. I think once you get to 17-18" screened laptops, there's simply no good reason for not having one.
My brother and his mate have a business where a keypad is essential. They don't have laptops with keypads so guess what, they use one of the above.
Anyway can't lefties use the arrow keys on a laptop for wsad? I'm a rightie and for years I used the arrow keys for FPSs.

I'm a strong lefty (write like a 3 year old, can barely eat right handed) and i use wasd and mouse like a rightie
It's not that hard tbh
I would not waste portability of smaller laptops just to add one, but I see no reason to waste available spare space on larger laptops by not having one either. I don't do anything number intensive on my desktop these days, but I do use it when typing numbers on my desktop.
I can live without a number pad, but i use it if it's there.
I on the other hand can't stand these manufacturers filling up the entire lower portion of the laptop with a Querty keyboard, can't we just have a central numberpad with 3 or 4 FN buttons so we can convert it to characters. Is it too much to ask?
