I think the West's idea that Iran should not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, simply on the idea of instability, is very hypocritical indeed.

Israel has long been a source of instability. It is Israel that has responded completely out of proportion to terror attacks it provoked in the first place. It is Israel that has abused the human rights of innocent Palestinians for over 60 years. Some of the things Israel does in the West Bank for example just make me lose all faith in humanity.

One thing I don't understand in addition to this is how many Western governments refuse to talk to Hamas (the main voice of the Palestinians), not just on the basis of terror attacks, but also on the basis that Hamas have stated they will never really completely recognise Israel (although they have stated they are willing to renounce violence in exchange for an Israeli pullout to the '67 borders). But hang on just a second, what is the new Israeli government saying?

Isn't it Netanyahu that is refusing to back a Palestinian state?? Isn't it his foreign minister that has stated Israel will never give up land stolen from Syria?

These ideas are worse even than those of Hamas, and will most certainly be a huge obstacle to peace. However, where is the condemnation of the US for example? We have heard Obama saying the US will press Israel for a two-state solution, but this is all. Looks like Israel can get away with anything.

Of course Iran with nukes isn't a good thing. Nuclear weapons are a horrific thing. However, neither is Israel with nukes. At least the world is keeping an eye on Iran, but what is the world doing about Israel???? Absolutely zilch.

Something I've seen mentioned already are Ahmadinejad's supposed comment on how Israel should be wiped off the map. This is an extremely common misconception, and is very irritating. What Ahmadinejad said, was along the lines of how Zionism, as an idealogy, will disappear from the pages of time. A huge mistranslation. I have to say that your arrogance is very tiring indeed. People's experience is irrelevant here. You don't need experience to tell you Israel ethnically cleansing hundreds of Arab villages is wrong. As for experience, I guess I can safely say I probably know considerably more than you, being Palestinian myself, having friends and family in the Middle East, I visit the area regularly. Oh yeah. I've actually been to Palestine/Israel. I also have access to a very wide range of media sources, Arabic and English, via satellite. I don't just use one media outlet.

But i reckon, in the last 10 years, i've spent more time on voluntary community projects than you. This is simply based on the assumption that you've been in full time work, not someone who was out of school aged 14!

Now, i have never lived in Israel, Iran or Palastine. Much of my understanding of their art and culture from them comes via the V&A (well not for the former).
