I'm travelling across the pond in a couple of weeks, but flying Coach with American Airlines. Last time I did this there was no power in the seats and only one screen to share.
I'm guessing this is the same, but was wondering if there were any means of charging USB items?
It'd be nice to have my iPhone plugged in all the way...

I fly coach class a lot with Air Canada & they have individual screens, and they have usb/110v sockets in every seat.

I was going to go with Virgin from Heathrow but figured the Drive to and From (Sheffield) to get there would be a ball ache. Can't remember if the Virgin was direct either.
But it's done. iPhone charged. Headphones ready.
I went with AA last year to New York. Can't remember exactly but we were quite impressed with them.
Perhaps buy a USB Li-Ion battery? Or plug it to your laptop (assume it provide power during standby). A normal laptop with 6 Cell battery should last 12-18 hours charging USB devices at full current.
I normally carry 6+6+9 Cell batteries with me so endurance is never a problem for me

Know what you mean. I went on an American Airlines flight where the air conditioning was borked and it was roasting in my section of the plane for the entire flight. One giant screen with an old-school 3-lens colour projector or something. It was one old and crappy plane.
Luckily the wings and engines still worked.
