    Re: Spotify

I had been using spotify since the beta trial in January. Once it went mainstream and incorporated adverts, I concluded Spotify INDUCED blue screens on my machine.

I now resort to youtube lol

Perhaps some good news for people who like the flexibility of Last.fm and the many full length tracks on Spotify?

Heard about Spotify on the gadget show but never used it. Maybe now I'll check it out.

    Re: Spotify

Just had to ban it in the office, the network had slowed to a crawl with up to 8 simultaneous users! Now everyone has reverted to their MP3 players, the network is back up to speed.
(yes, we do have a cool boss who lets us listen to music while we work, if we choose...).

Just like (free) commercial radio really.
It is FREE after all, and you can always pay a small amount to be totally advert free.

    £0.99 for a single advert-free day, or £9.99 for a whole month.

    Re: Spotify

If you are going to pay, you might as well use Napster instead - same service but much better library. It's the same price for the streaming service, £9.99pm.

Best thing about Napster though is that it's fully compatible with the Squeezebox's (And Sonos) i have around the house (so is Last.FM) so i'm not tied to a PC.
