As the title suggests, this thread will show you how to make your own hazard tape wallet, obviously you can substitute the tape for duct tape fragile tape, whatever you choose (you could use company parcel tape if needs be ), the process is exactly the same
(i hold no responsibility if you stab yourself in the face or cut a finger off...)
Things you'll need:
Stanley knife/Craft Knife/Scissors
Cutting surface
Some tape of your choosing (99p a roll in most places...)
Straight edge
So to make anything out of tape you have to have a starting point, in this case, a strip of tape longer than the final product needs to be..:
Cut another strip the same size and lay it over the top, approx halfway up, then fold the trailing edge over (only one trailing edge...):
add another strip on top of the sticky side, and keep repeating until your canvas is the correct size (everything you do, involves making a canvas first, this canvas is for the note holding part):
Fold over the remaining trailing edge to tidy the canvas up:
Cut off the tatty edges to leave a nice straight edge:
Fold in half, and tape over the just cut edges to leave a protected edge (keeping the folded shape, and protecting the edges):
And then cut the stray tape off, leaving you with a pocket, and this is the main body of the wallet:
Fold it in half, and this is the shape that this particular wallet will assume:
Now put that to one side, and make a new canvas, it needs to be slightly bigger then a credit card (this canvas is for the card holders), do the same as before, slowly building up the layer until it is the right size, and seal the edges again:
Next, you need to fold the canvas into the correct shape:
And then tape up the edges to hold it in that shape:
