    Phone recycling

    Hi guys,

I sent a couple of phones to http://www.fonebank.com/ on Tuesday and today I got a cheque through for £55. It cost me about £3 to send the phones recorded delivery.

So, if you've got some old phones lying around, give them a try.

Of course, if you're well off, or your phone isn't worth very much, give it to a charity instead so that they can get some money for recycling it

Unfortunately your phone is either obsolete or of no value to fonebank.

Or you could make more money on ebay? Especially in the case of the c902, surely worth more then £90 on ebay?

But then you have the problem of having to deal with eBay along with listing fees, PayPal fees, postage, bidders etc.

I received £30 for my Nokia 6120c from them. Seem to remember it being pretty quick; all done within a week.

Full name and address along with bank details just to tell you how much they will give you for your phone?

    Erm, I don't think so!

    Money For Your Phone/MFYP

Hey guys, I thought I would share my recent experience with [oooooooooppppsss].co.uk

I never heard about this company before so I was a bit reluctant to use them at first but after calling the landline number and getting a reply from my emails promptly I was happy to use them.

I basically recycled my iPhone 2G 8GB, my Sony Ericsson K810i and my Samsung D900 with them. I got £115 for my iPhone, £35 for my Sony Ericsson and £20 for my D900.

I got my payment via bank transfer and received emails regurarly regarding the status of my order. Fantastic Service and would strongly recommend!

    Re: Phone recycling

I don't think a dead C902 is worth much to anyone, it fell out of my pocket at work when I was on a ladder and landed screen down, no damage to the casing at all but the phone no longer works.

I used the MSE comparision last week and received £75 for my old sony p1i. Envirofone would have been £60 and I see phonebank are £52. I also sent 2 x XDAIIs both with borked screens and got £15 each.

Don't forget quidco for some of the other firms. Do price compare between recyclers the differences can be huge.
