I don't want this to be a rant, more to just get an idea if any one else has had this problem.
Last weekend I deposited some money at my high street bank, over the counter. Would of expected it to register in my account right away yes? Days go past and it's not there - I couldn't go back to the bank as I'm at work all week, and didn't have a spare minute during working hours to call that branch of the bank direct.
Anyway, I went there today - turns out the receipt didn't even have my actual account number or name on ithad a woman's name on it (something I didn't notice straight away because I just stuck it straight in my wallet, I did glance the name a few days later, and just assumed it was the cashier). A member of staff asked me to point out the cashier who dealt with me, which I did. And then took my details and told me they would start investigating this on Monday (as they were closing).
What the hell?!Has this ever happened to anyone...they have to give my money back don't they...
