MySpace to lay off 30 percent of staff

Hi,

This is my first post to the forum, it’s very informative and enjoyable really.

According to Routers, Myspace will cut its staff by 30 percent. As you can guess, Facebook and Twitter are very powerful competitors of myspace. There are many more competitor in online community industry and I wonder which one will become most powerful. Any predictions?

Saw this on the Beeb this morning, they said 35%, still pretty pants tho.

I don't think there will be an out & out winner, it's all about fashion & online trends.

I did'nt think that these companies would employ so many - are most programmers or marketing ? WHat other occupations would they employ ?
